When you leave the Scheme, you’ll stop earning any future benefits and won’t be covered for any death-in-service benefits.
 
You’ll be known as a ‘deferred member’ if you leave the Scheme, and be entitled to receive your pension at Normal Retirement Date.
 
Your pension will be calculated on the same basis as a normal retirement pension but based on the number of years of your pensionable service and your Pensionable Salary at the date you left the Scheme, increasing annually between the date you left and when your pension starts to be paid.
