Death benefits

This section explains the death benefits that may be payable when you die.

If you die while still employed by the Company and a member of the Scheme, this is known as death in service. If you die before you start taking your pension but are not employed by the Company, this is known as death in deferment. If you die while receiving your pension, this is known as death in retirement.
